Looks like a 90 degree turn or close. Maybe just go to an auto store with correct diameter and find one to work. You can always cut some off.

Do you know what the tractor was used for that caused it to need to be modified that way?

And what are those hoses down under the air cleaner??  I am sort of thinking that screen looking thing in front of the air cleaner was someone's add on as it does not show up on the parts manual. Maybe put there to catch loose chaff or what not?

Tony,

Found some info about the engine.  This site allows you to click on the numbers in the left column for the 3T75H engine parts diagrams.  Mentions the engine is also used in the YM226.  The YM226 has the 3T75HA.  Compare those images to your parts manual.  It would be nice to know how these 2 machines are close to using the same parts.
https://www.partsandservice.com/html/Yanmar/eng/226e.html

Then when ordering parts, you can also check for YM226. ;)

Tony,

You have a rare machine.  The YM236 has a bigger related sibling YM246. And getting info on that big brother is even harder.  There are very few details otherwise out on the web.

Is it possible to take several pix of the machine since it's in great shape?  The images on the web are extremely lacking.  I'm really surprised others in our community have not spoken up of knowing about this model or owning one.

Tony,

Welcome to the community. :)

You do have a rare YM model.  And I not certain if your YM 3-digit machine was both US/Canada and UK import, or just a UK model import.

If a UK import only, then it's limited on info all around.  However, don't fret, many of the other models share parts and the 3T75H engines are used in other tractors and excavators, like the Yanmar YB Series.

As for parts, here in the USA, we have a strong support base.  There is a section on the site here under the WIKI > RESOURCE PAGE.  Scroll thru and look for the parts section.  We do have a few global resources too.  Should you have a good AU parts resource, we would be glad to add them.

Re: F16D PTO

Bill,

I guess we just have to live with what we are use to using for a search tool.  F16 can sure get mixed results.

As for my model, the YM2610, I get 1/2 of the search results of the Yamaha audio chip uses in music synthesizers.

Just be glad we don't have MT as the pre-fix.  It's really hard for the Mitsubishi people doing searches.

Now, back on topic of the F16 PTO.  Looking at how Yanmar made machines and their models codes, I have a hunch that the F160 or a F165 is a later version of the F16 model.  Yanmar started a trend like this in the F-FX Series. It did spill over into the RS Series too as the RS30 became an RS300 later on.  There is just too much "sketchy" info to tie things together in a sound application of understanding all of this.  Wish there was a better cheat sheet we all could glean from.  The YM Series, even for how old it is, still has a few holes not covered.  The F-FX really eludes many of us too.  Those machines are really YM's with updated motors having an "N" in the engine designator, and a newer frame and body.   The RS Series was a new beginnings overall.

Interesting.

I wonder if the browser or OS has an influence.

I tried it a few days ago like normal, meaning    F-16 -aircraft      and I got zero General Dynamics fighter returns as I would have expected.  Plain F-16 got plenty.
Unfortunately, I was all over the house doing STUFF and I can't remember which device and which browser I was on.  I guess I should do it again and report details on whether it was firefox on an linux PC or chrome on an android.

I just did it on both google and duckduckgo with the text "f16d tractor" and got tractor results. Usually, for me, more words helps more that excluding words.

Hi Wally

I think maybe the problem is the syntax you're using - you have to put the minus next to the thing to exclude with no space - at least that works fine here in the UK: https://www.google.com/search?q=f16+-aircraft+-fighter&safe=active

Google has eliminated the option to limit your searches. In days gone by, you could add a term preceded by a minus symbol (-) and Google would not show results with that term. That doesn't work any more, as you might have discovered, and that sucks. Luckily, there is an answer.

Try using "Duck-Duck-Go", and searching for f16 - aircraft -fighter and see if the results are any better. In addition, you will be tracked a lot less...

Hi guys, wondering if anyone one would have any info on this little tractor, it was a barn find a couple of months ago here in Aus, only has a genuine 644 hrs on it and is in very good original condition with a cabin on it, I managed to get a parts manual for it but it’s very had to get parts for, managed to get a water pump, thermostat and housing and 2 of 3 hoses I needed, motors runs perfect but just wondering if anyone knows anything about it? Regards Tony, in Australia.

Good work.

Every time I go looking on the web for anything F16, I end up with fighter aircraft.  And FX16 that is related turns up special effects in hollywood.

As for Karl's PDF, I can still open it up in an older Adobe 8.0 pre-DC era reader.  Also, I have the language pack add-ons for displaying the right fonts too.
